The upper of these Thorogood Hiker work boots was constructed with a combination of dark brown full-grain leather, black suede leather (placed in small panels and on the boot's tongue) and a leather collar. Wearing a work boot with a lace-up design is great, because it enables you to change the fit to your liking.

Although this is a Hiker, these work boots will offer you the utmost protection while you're on the jobsite. It has been assembled with a steel toe and an internal metatarsal guard; collectively these safety-toe Hiker work boots have met the ASTM F2413-11 M/75 C/75 Mt/75 Classifications and the Electrical Hazard Standard. Having these features will ensure that your toes and feet will remain safe.

Having a mesh lining inside these Thorogood work boots is great because the material is incredibly lightweight, it's breathable and will aid in wicking moisture away from your skin. Another feature within the interior that will supply great comfort is the polyurethane footbed; it cushions your steps and has air flow vents that keep your feet feeling cool and comfortable. The insole is removable, so once it begins to wear down, you can always add in more padding.

These Thorogood Hikers have a compression-molded polyurethane midsole; this will provide these work boots with additional cushioning and flexibility. An engineered-composite shank will ensure that you have steady footing and helps deliver support to your foot's arch. On the very bottom, there is a rubber outsole that provides excellent grip and offers terrific resistance to oil, chemicals and abrasions.
