Iron Age Groundbreaker Men's Internal Met Guard Steel Toe Work Boots
The Iron Age Groundbreaker is a workhorse of a boot. Built to withstand natural elements and manmade challenges, this 6 inch pull-on boot with internal metatarsal guard has the quality materials and construction you need to handle the job.
Pull-on styling allows for quick, convenient pull on and removal. The upper is made of durable, long-lasting full-grain leather that resists scuffs and chemicals. Strong Kevlar® stitching holds up to wear and tear with proven Goodyear® welt construction, keeping the sole attached to the upper in extreme working conditions.
The Groundbreaker is loaded with safety features. This boot meets ASTM F2413 safety standards for impact, compression with a steel protective toe and CUSHGUARD™ internal metatarsal guard that hardens upon impact. In combination, the steel toe and internal met provide protection for the tops of feet and toes against accidental drops and rolling objects. Also rated for electrical hazards, the Groundbreaker provides resistance to live circuits and wires.
A durable Vibram® rubber outsole provides slip resistance to slick and oily surfaces as well as resistance to chemicals, heat, metal chips and abrasion.

Protective Toe
Impact testing determines the amount of protection to the toe under various foot pounds of force. Compression testing determines the amount of static pressure a steel/composite toe cap can withstand. Our boots are I75/C75
Electrical Hazard
Footwear is built with nail-free construction to help insulate you from the ground to slow down conduction, but is not intended to be primary protection against electric shock. Leather footwear must be dry. Our electrical hazard boots meet and exceed ASTM electrical hazard standards.
Metatarsal Guard
Footwear offering metatarsal protection is designed to prevent or reduce injuries when the toe and metatarsal areas of the foot are exposed to "drop" hazards. Metatarsal protection safety shoes may be constructed with either internal or external metatarsal guards. -
