This men's 6-inch met guard work boot has a brown full-grain leather upper that is both durable and breathable. Encased in the same leather is an external metatarsal guard. Exterior heel and toe guards provide another level of resistance to areas that see the most wear. Flex welt construction cements the upper a highly heat-, oil- and slip-resistant nitrile rubber outsole. The 90-degree defined heel gives you secure footing and assists with a safe climb up ladders.
Safety features set this boot apart from the competition. The Hammer meets ASTM requirements for impact and compression with an external metatarsal guard and protective toe. The met guard protects the tops of feet. A carbon nanofiber safety toe is light weight and gives toes plenty of wiggle room. Underfoot a strategically-placed Lenzi plate protects the soles of feet from sharps, such as nails. Additional protection is found with certified resistance to electrical hazards. No metal components equate to easy pass through metal detectors.
Feet will remain dry with waterproof membrane construction. And feet will be comfortable resting upon a removable, dual density Rebound insole that both cushions and absorbs impact with each footstep. Additional comfort is found around the ankle and forefoot areas with a padded collar and tongue.

Protective Toe
Impact testing determines the amount of protection to the toe under various foot pounds of force. Compression testing determines the amount of static pressure a steel/composite toe cap can withstand. Our boots are I75/C75
Electrical Hazard
Footwear is built with nail-free construction to help insulate you from the ground to slow down conduction, but is not intended to be primary protection against electric shock. Leather footwear must be dry. Our electrical hazard boots meet and exceed ASTM electrical hazard standards.
Puncture Resistant
PR footwear reduces the possibility of sharp objects (nails, glass or metal) penetrating through the outsole causing injury to the foot. Protection is provided by a steel or puncture resistant material imbedded in the insole of the footwear.
Metatarsal Guard
Footwear offering metatarsal protection is designed to prevent or reduce injuries when the toe and metatarsal areas of the foot are exposed to "drop" hazards. Metatarsal protection safety shoes may be constructed with either internal or external metatarsal guards.
